Meet Helen

Director, Patient Access and Business Development

Helen grew up on a cattle station in rural Queensland and is passionate about quality healthcare access and outcomes for rural and regional Australians.

Working with clinicians and hospital c-suite alike Helen has broad experience across the medtech and healthcare industry.

Helen began her career as a Cardiac Scientist in the Cardiac Investigations Unit at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane where she first appreciated the positive impact of medical technology on the lives of patients and their families. It was here that she also understood the importance to rural Queenslanders of one of their own in a position to make a difference.

Helen went on to work for Medtronic, one of the world’s largest medical technology companies, for 14 years.

Holding positions from clinical specialist, sales and sales management to business development and corporate accounts gave Helen broad exposure to both public and private healthcare systems.

Helen’s worked in both the cardiac and diabetes businesses at Medtronic which has given her a unique insight into Chronic Disease Management with a Value Based Healthcare approach.

Working for a global organisation also saw Helen travel the world experiencing the application of medical technology in healthcare systems very different Australia’s.
